‘It takes someone really brave to be a mother, someone strong to raise a child and someone special to love someone more than herself.’
It was a weekend of firsts.
It was my first time celebrating Mother’s Day first hand
and PJ was at the beach for the very first time.
Although I haven’t been to my hair salon for almost a year now and
I don’t know when will I have the time for full blown 2-hours Ashtanga practice again,
this butter ball..
makes it all worth it.
With all my heart,
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers on this earth.
I have a beautiful healthy baby because I only surrounded myself with beautiful thoughts and allowed only healthy food go in my body when I was pregnant.
I knew before I even found out we were having a girl because:
- The day before I found out I was pregnant, I bought 15 new dresses in one afternoon. And I usually never buy more than two dresses - in a month!
- During my pregnancy, my oily and post-acne-scarred skin became so smooth and flawless. My bodily hair especially those on my legs disappeared!
- For someone who has been using only Origins basic skincare products, the two things I craved for during my first trimester were Lancome’s Visionnaire and Genifique serums! I literally drooled over its ad on an inflight magazine on the way back from Canada last summer and the luck of a pregnant lady, my husband got them for me
True enough (despite many people’s voluntary guesses that I was carrying a boy),
I gave birth to an angel in a form of a really beautiful (and fluffy!) baby girl.
So imagine my heartbreak when five different strangers told my husband and I, “What a handsome baby!” over last weekend..
MUST WEAR FLOWERS ON PJ’S HEAD ALL THE TIME AFTER THIS.
No, seriously!
How can you mistaken a baby this pretty?!
WISE WEDNESDAY: Power To The People. And Mothers!
I choose to spend time only doing what benefits me and only with those who matter to me.
I cringe everytime I get introduced as a yoga teacher and a blogger nowadays
as the the last yoga class I taught was at a charity event last year
Photos by Gianinna Salas
and I had rejected and ignored all advertorial write-ups for this blog for as long as I could remember as all of them had to do with either processed food, fast food joint, chicken essence, SLS and parabens containing skincare, formula milk for prenatal mothers and a couple others that I have always been a staunch advocate against.
As the only thing I seem to enjoy and be good doing at now is breastfeeding and spending time with PJ,
maybe now I should be paid as an SAHM!
‘I’m short but I’m healthy, yeah!’
Sigh, while I will never be fairer, prettier or taller than this Malaysia’s most famous blogger,
at least I’m smaller !
No mercy to a pregnant person that stylish.
And since my angel baby has already been sleeping through the night,
I have no more excuses to not update this space more often.
Til then!
